Year round, we see those experiencing tough times throughout our communities. We see people asking for money at intersections or in grocery stores. We see make-shift housing and campsites being set up in parks, in vacant lots, outside of closed businesses and in alleyways. We may wonder “what can I do to make a difference?”

You feel the need to give in some way.  Maybe you want to give money. Maybe you would like to donate your time to volunteer, or go out to meet individuals experiencing hardship face-to-face.  Maybe you have new or used clothes or furniture you would like to donate. How do you go about this? How do you know that what you have to give is going to be received and will have a lasting impact?
